​Welcome to Daytona Beach German Shepherd Rescue


Daytona Beach German Shepherd Rescue is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, established in October of 2013. We are a foster home-based organization operating out of Daytona Beach and Jacksonville areas. Our goal is to rescue as many homeless German Shepherds as we can by rehabilitating them and placing them in approved adoptive forever homes.

​The Hoffer Family Foundation Inc. (a 501C3) founded South West Florida German Shepherd Rescue in 2007. Our Rescue implemented its program in early 2008. To date in the past 18+ years as of July, 2025, we have adopted out 1985 pure bred German Shepherd dogs and about 27 not so pure bred, but tremendous 3 and 4 legged friends. We operate the rescue with dogs received from shelters and from owner turn-ins.
THE RESCUE IS OPEN FOR LIMITED INTAKE AND ADOPTIONS.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
​It is with this Rescue's desire and intention that we foster, rehabilitate, re-home, displaced German shepherd dogs saved from an animal shelter environment or from an owner surrender agreement. After complete medical vetting, obedience training, behavioral evaluations, we then take time matching and placing our dogs with our perspective adopters. Some of our dogs are placed into working Service K9 jobs, i.e. Police, Search and Rescue, emotional support, or placed into wonderful family companion homes. In addition we strive to educate the public in understanding the nobility, intelligence, and loyalty that is unique to this breed.
